Weavers Guesthouse

A weekend Bronte art retreat with professional artist
Frances Ackland-Snow

4th to 6th September 2020

An expressive and creative experience, encouraging self-healing

Inspired by the Wuthering Heights, Frances invites artists of all ages and abilities to join her at Weavers for a weekend of expressive art. Create works in response to the moors all around us; the landscape that inspired 3 sisters to write some of the most famous books in history. Frances is a published and professional artist and teacher of art and will guide you through the weekend, whatever your level.

Enquiries, Booking & T&Cs

As this is a special weekend, we ask that you please give us a call on 01535 643209 or email hello@weaversguesthouse.co.uk to make an enquiry, ask any questions you might have or to book you place. Bookings for the retreat cannot be made via our usual booking facility on our website. Please note, booking and cancellation terms for the retreat are different to our usual Weavers terms and conditions.

Bookings for the retreat close on 31st July 2020. 50% of the amount of your stay is payable upon booking, with the remaining 50% due on or before 31st July 2020. Due to the fact that the guesthouse will be set aside for exclusive use for retreat attendees on this weekend, plus the amount of preparatory work that both Frances and ourselves have done to make the retreat happen, we hope that you will understand that bookings are non-refundable, which is different to our usual cancellation policy. If you need to cancel and we can re-fill your place, then of course, we would refund you the full amount. We advise our guests to take out travel insurance to cover such eventualities. In the very unlikely event that we should need to cancel for any reason, then you would receive a full refund, regardless of when the cancellation occurred.

We're not usually huge fans of lots of rules (apart from ones that keep us safe!) but we hope you can appreciate that we're a small business and, well, needs must sometimes.

We can happily cater for most dietary requirements, as long as we know in advance. Please let us know upon booking of any dietary, accessibility or other requirements that we should know about in order to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Call us to talk over any questions you might have, anytime. We're very happy to help.

As part of your weekend itinerary, you’ll join Phylecia for a beginners calligraphy and lettering workshop, tread the moors like a true Brontë with an optional moorland walk, and the piece-de-resistance: an utterly unique opportunity to view handwritten Brontë manuscripts and treasures up close in the museum's research library.
